What is that?!
This is one of the questions that I receive on a regular basis, having to do with the items included with our blog designs. Let me break each item down so you know exactly what we are talking about, and what it is that you are getting…
Header- The blog header is the top portion of the blog that in most cases expands the width of the blog. This is where your Blog Title Text, and any header graphics will be placed.
Footer- The blog footer is the bottom portion of the blog that in most cases expands the width of the blog. This is were credits go (your copyright information, and the designer credits). Some times, blog footer can also include graphics as well to decorate the bottom of your blog template.
Blog Title and Tag Line, Text Design- This is the Text that is placed in the blog header. It displays your blog title and your tag line if you choose to include one. It is what your readers first see and is an important part of your blog design.
Background Design- This is typically a background color or subtle pattern that is placed behind your blog template. It gives your blog “pop” and fills up the empty space on the sides of your blog for people who view your blog at different screen sizes.
Full width, 2 or 3 Column Content Layout- This is how the content of your blog is set up. A full width layout would include main content only, with no sidebars. A 2 column layout would be one sidebar (left or right) and the main content. A three column layout would include two sidebars and your main content; typically sidebar-content-sidebar.
Navigation Bar- A navigation or menu bar is the bar located typically above or directly below your blog header. It houses the links and page tabs you would like to include on your blog. This navigation bar allows your readers to easily find information, posts, pages, and explore your blog content.
Post Tile Icon Graphic- *Design Element* A post tile icon is a small graphic that is placed beside the title of each of your posts.
Sidebar Title Stylization- *Design Element* Stylizing your sidebar means to place a background behind, or small graphic beside your sidebar titles. This helps break apart the sections of your sidebar, while giving it a custom look.
Post Signature Design- *Design Element* Adding a custom post signature means to add a custom graphic of your name (or something similar to your blog posts. After you publish your post, your signature will automatically show up at the bottom of your post content. It gives your writing a nice personalized touch.
Post Divider Graphic- *Design Element* A post divider is typically a subtle graphic, line or line pattern that extends across your content width of your posts and separates your post. It is located under your post signature and is a nice visual aid that helps break apart one post from the next.
150X150 Grab Button with Copy Code Box (if you would like a different size for your button, please let me know at checkout)- *Design Element* A grab button is a small graphic (usually square), that acts as an advertisement for your blog. It will be placed in your blog (usually your sidebar) along with the HTML code to the graphic and a link to your blog. Your readers can copy the code, place it in their blog sidebars, and there you have it— An instant advertisement and link to your blog for all to see!
Favicon Graphic- *Design Element* A favicon is a small graphic that is located beside your blog name is browser tabs.
Up to 4 Social Media Icons- *Design Element* Social Media Icons are graphic buttons that act as links to your social media pages, such as Facebook and Twitter.
Color/Font Coordination- We customize the fonts and colors of fonts, links and hovers to coordinate well with the rest of the colors throught your blog design.

Here are some additional Terms and Items that you may add to your blog design order:
Homepage Image or Image Slider- A homepage image is an image (either photograph or graphic) that is placed under your blog header, on your homepage. A Photo slider is similar, only you can add more than one photograph or graphic and the group of images act like a homepage slideshow. Homepage Images and Sliders are most commonly placed across the width of the content are, but can also be placed in a footer widget, or in a sidebar.
Portfolio Gallery- A portfolio gallery as a series of images (may or may not include transition effects) that are placed on a blog page that showcases ones work.
Custom Bio Graphic- This is a decorative graphic that may include a simple text design, your photo or avatar and a short biography. Is is usually placed in the sidebar of your blog so people can see a little bit about you, and who is brains behind the writing.
Custom 404 Page- This is the error page that people see when they click on a broken link, or a page that no longer exists. A common 404 page is the normal, “Error. The page you are looking for no longer exists.”, but it is fun to slice it up! Why not customize it to make people smile, but adding something like this: “Oh drat! I am not sure what happened! This page was here, but isn’t anymore… Bummer.” It may also be fun to add cute graphics to this page— Like a confused character…
